IGA does not require a referral from your primary care doctor for you to be seen by our providers, but your insurance company might.

Will you help obtain any required referrals or prior authorizations from my insurance?

If your insurance requires a referral or prior authorization, our billing office will make every effort to obtain it before services are rendered.

What happens if I proceed without required authorization?

If you choose to proceed without required authorization, insurance may deny coverage.

If I am a Medicare patient, could I be asked to sign something related to payment if insurance does not pay?

If you are a Medicare patient, you may be asked to sign an Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN) acknowledging financial responsibility if insurance does not pay.

If I am enrolled in a commercial insurance plan, will I be asked to sign any forms?

If you are enrolled in a commercial insurance plan you will be asked to sign a non-covered services form.
