Do I need a prescription?

In general, you don’t; Direct Access allows PT without a prescription in Ohio.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Luna accepts most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage.

How are costs billed?

You’ll typically pay a co-pay; most Medicare plans with a secondary cover the majority of the cost to you; you won’t be charged until after your visit.

Is in-home physical therapy covered by insurance?

Luna accepts many insurance plans, and we handle the benefits verification process for you. With Luna, you’ll typically pay the co-pay your insurance plan requires for clinic visits. We accept most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage.

Do I need a prescription or referral to start?

In most cases, you will not need a referral for physical therapy. Some insurance providers do require a doctor’s referral, and we’ll promptly let you know if that’s the case with your insurance. Read more about prescriptions.

When and where can I have my physical therapy appointment?

Appointments for private physical therapy at home are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am - 9:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat patients at home.
